Hello Sdfsdf,
I'm just going to call it out - things are feeling a bit tense these days. I know I can't be the only HSP feeling it.
As HSPs in challenging times we can tend to default to isolation and believing we have to manage our nervous system overwhelm all alone. This leads us to feel disconnected and and even more overwhelmed, but there's an awesome antidote: power in finding the right community.
I've been self-employed as an HSP for going on 22 years now and hands down there is one "secret ingredient" I see over and over that makes a difference for us as HSPs in business and leadership: Aligned Community. The depth of the secret is the alignment.
See, as HSPs, we tend to have a shared traumatic history of feeling "othered". So, when you bring HSPs together who are each committed to the process of empowerment through the re-training of the nervous system backed by the deep desire to use our unique HSPs gifts to make a positive difference there is an instant recognition, a sense of safety, fostered trust and emboldened quickening that occurs.
Defences that have been built over years and years of attempting to protect one's nervous system from overwhelm - just fall away.
What fills its place? Creative-inspired action, that's what.
Now, this doesn't just happen. It's cultivated consciously and masterfully by a leader who also personally understands and has experienced this past trauma, has done and continues to do the healing work, and, has consistently taken the business-leadership-action to back it all. She walks her talk. Over and over.
That's me.
