should you do this?

Sdfsdf, no matter where you are in your highly sensitive journey, the way that you relate to time is something that you must consistently revisit and renegotiate.

There can often be an automatic judgement and/or expectation in terms of time and how our socialized global culture says that things should be done.

A great example of this is the general belief that you "should" work from 9-5.

That there's something wrong with you if you're not working 9-5.

  • You're not as productive as you should be.

  • You're not contributing the way that you should be.

  • You should/could be doing more.

  • And if you're not working 9-5, this is why you don't have what you want or aren't creating what you say you want to create.

Working 9-5 for those of us who are highly sensitive isn't necessarily going to work for us.

And yet, I see so many Highly Sensitive Leaders and Entrepreneurs struggling to try to fit their purpose into these socialized structures that just don't work with the nature of their highly sensitive design.

We are meant to relate with time differently because our nervous system is wired differently.

I remember learning this for myself in my first corporate job and through the 8 years that I was teaching in the public school system.

It. Was. Exhausting.

As Highly Sensitive Leaders, the opportunity that we have, as always, is the opportunity to shift that perception for ourselves.

To override the socialized expectations of "should".

To understand more deeply and more consistently who you are and how you work best.

To learn how to create a container that will actually support your relationship with time to have it working FOR you.

To be willing to do things differently.

By honoring what you know about yourself, you can create more - more impact and more income - within your own time frame than you ever will trying to fit into other peoples' ideas of how you "should" spend your time.

IN FAITH,

Heather
