Women who lead differently: the power of sensitivity

image

Hello Sdfsdf,

Throughout history, women have led revolutions, transformed industries, and changed the world – not through force but through vision, empathy, and deep sensitivity. Yet, for many of us, that same sensitivity has been misunderstood or even dismissed as a weakness.

We're rewriting the narrative this Women's History Month: Your sensitivity is your greatest business leadership advantage. We're kicking off March by talking about Highly Sensitive women in history, how to embrace your own sensitive superpowers, and success stories from those who have. Let's dive in.

Highly Sensitive Women in History Highlight: Eleanor Roosevelt

Eleanor was considered a highly sensitive person due to her deep empathy, strong intuition, and profound emotional depth. She was known for her keen awareness of injustice and her ability to connect with the struggles of others, which fueled her lifelong advocacy for human rights, social justice, and the underprivileged. Her introspective nature and sensitivity to criticism also point to the traits of an HSP. Yet, she channeled these qualities into resilience, using her sensitivity as a strength to lead with compassion and courage.

What's Happening with Heather

This past week, I've been on a personal retreat with my Sweetheart Husband, Stephen. We both support many people in our professions and need intentionally scheduled R&R&R – Rest, Relaxation, and Rejuvenation. Yet, my business doesn't stop or fall apart because I've created systems that support my Business Miracles team and community to continue thriving in my temporary absence.

When I first started my business (over 20 years ago!), even though I hired female coaches and attended women-led business training conferences, much of what they had to share was heavily male-influenced. I didn't know I was HSP at the time, so my people-pleasing tendencies were still off the charts, and I was caught in what I've since identified as the HSP Coping Mechanism of Pushing.

All of this led me to massive burnout, some severe health issues, and an identity crisis.

I'm so glad I've learned to embrace my HSP wiring as a business owner, mentor, and team leader. Some would say it's revolutionary. I would say it's positively influential.

Today's HSP Business Tip: Your sensitivity is a business and leadership superpower – embrace it fully!

This can seem daunting at first: you might be thinking, "How can I just switch gears and use sensitivity as a superpower when I've thought so differently of it?" or "I'm not quite convinced it is a superpower yet." We have five simple ways you can get started recognizing and putting into practice sensitivity as a business strength and strategy:

  • Recognize that many trailblazing women in history were likely HSPs (we'll be highlighting several this month).
  • Honor your unique processing style instead of trying to fit into traditional business models or leadership molds.
  • Set boundaries to protect your energy, improve your productivity, and maximize your impact.
  • Lean into strengths like deep empathy, creativity, and innovation to support you with effective marketing.
  • Surround yourself with a community that sees you and supports your leadership so you never fall into the HSP Shadow trap of feeling like you are all on your own.

"Over the past year, I've had a number of visions drop in. I've known that they are connected, but unable to articulate exactly how. The October 2024 live training experience helped me to find the connective tissue between all these visions and then to create a plan for activating them all holistically. I would—hands down—attend another live training with Mentor Heather Dominick. I consider these experiences to be GIFTS that I offer to myself, especially as an HSP operating a 7-figure business. No matter what's happening in my business or how I'm feeling personally, I get value from taking three days to get in touch with want I really, truly want and what it is going to take to achieve those deepest dreams and desires. I always come away feeling renewed and restored and look forward to joining live training again in October 2025!"

Like Brianna, you may have multiple visions or ideas that you can't quite seem to pull together; you might feel like you're grasping at straws and unable to fully utilize your superpowers to capitalize on what you're capable of. Being a part of the Business Miracles Community can be the gift you need for yourself – one that will help you lead like the extraordinary women before you.

Schedule a Clarity Call and receive high-level intuitive guidance that will help you focus multiple visions into clear, doable, next steps for aligned action that has you generating more income, making more of an impact in the world and with a whole lot less effort.

XO.
